Roving Restorers

19.04.21 Roving Restorers enjoyed a pleasant morning weeding and planting at Witta Nature Refuge (aka Witta Conservation Reserve) at the headwaters of Elaman Creek. We planted out 100 trees and weeded a variety of weeds on the site. After morning tea we enjoyed a short walk down to the creek where our very own geologist, Fergus told us about the geological features of the land. The Wildlife Land Fund owns and manages this land which forms a key wildlife corridor between Maleny and Bellthorpe National Parks. Matt Cecil from The Wildlife Land Fund told us about the property and the work of the Fund which is a member driven not-for-profit organisation.
